As a student in the Okinawan style of Isshinryu Karate, Master Dattoli has had the good fortune to train under some of the finest instructors in the United States.  Master Don Nagle, who died in 1999, was widely known in the martial arts world as the living legend and was credited for being the first to bring any style of karate to the east coast.  Master Brian Fitzgerald of Branchburg, New Jersey, one of Master Nagle's premier students and winner of the Isshinryu Grand National Championship in 1977, is Master Dattoli's Shihan (instructor).  Master Ernie Temple, 9th Dan, along with Masters Dave Hurl of Connecticut, and Masters Tom Lloyd and Tom Nowell who run programs in Branchburg, New Jersey, have all trained with these great masters and currently comprise a network of dojos that Master Dattoli and his students train within.

Class sizes are small and sometimes private.  Also offered are basic self-defense seminars for women and teenagers.  These seminars are run bi-monthly and pre-registration is mandatory.
